If you cannot change the ratio your camera takes pictures at (includes most brands of compact digital cameras) your digital photos are most likely taken at a 4:3 ratio. (The ratio of your digital camera image is simply the length of the image by the hight of your digital image). This is different to a film camera that takes images that are the same as the size of a film negative that has a ratio of 2:3. Incidentally a standard size photo is a 4 x 6 inch or 10 x 15 cm print.
So what does this mean? It means that if you want standard 4x6 inch prints you will loose some of your image because you are trying to put a 4:3 image on a 2:3 ratio piece of paper. This means cropping will occur at the top and bottom of the frame. You can avoid this by choosing a print size that is similar to the 4:3 ratio. Try our digital photo size this will give you a photo that is much closer to a full frame digital print. |

Mydigitalphotos have worked out an average price based on an average order of standard size prints sent anywhere in Australia. Having a standard charge also makes it easier to work out the total cost of delivery. So no matter how many or how few photos you request are sent to you our standard charge is still the same $2.95. |
